Deep Recovery Division · Trench Ops 07

Abyssal
Towline

The survey fleet lost nine probes in the trench. Take the submersible Meridian down, hook the cargo in the dark, and tow it back to the depot rig — gently. Water remembers every impact.

The dive

  1. Descend, find the sunken research probes glowing mint in the silt.
  2. Fire the tether to latch a probe. It turns buoyant and starts climbing.
  3. Counter-steer it past reef spires and erupting steam vents up to the depot cradle.
  4. Each delivery lights that stretch of trench for good and opens the gate deeper.

Touch

  • Drive pad (lower left) — ◀ ▶ swing the nose gradually like a rudder; ▲ pushes forward along the nose, ▼ backs up. Slide your thumb between arrows without lifting.
  • Right thumb — TETHER fires the cable (aim assist snaps it to the nearest probe). Tap again to let go.
  • SONAR stuns anglerfish and reveals probes · DASH burns ballast for a burst of speed.
  • Your phone buzzes on hooks, hits and deliveries (switch off in Graphics & controls).

Keyboard & mouse

  • ←→ or AD steer (the nose turns gradually) · ↑↓ or WS forward / reverse along the nose
  • Left click or Space — fire the tether where the nose points / release
  • Right click or Q — sonar pulse · Shift — dash
  • P pause · M mute · R re-dive

New in the deep

  • Anglerfish hunt your headlamp. They lunge when close — a sonar pulse stuns them.
  • Jellyfish sting on contact and drain ballast.
  • Supply caches: red crates patch the hull, blue canisters top up ballast.
  • Tow chain: deliver probes quickly one after another to multiply the score.

Sound before you dive

The score shifts from calm descent to danger when hunters close in or the hull fails. Levels are remembered.
